:D :) There was 1 Lightning in it but it was not used like it should be used

Yeah and that guy should have his azz kicked for running it into that curb like he did once! I cringed when I saw that.

Billy

And they would have to thrash one of the coolest car in the movie at the end.

If you liked that movie "Point Break" (a guilty pleasure of mine) from the early '90s, you will also like "Fast and the Furious." :D It is virtually the same movie, except it revolves around cars instead of surfing:

In "Point Break," Keanu Reeves character had to go undercover to infiltrate a gang of testosterone-full surfers (headed by Patrick Swayze) who have been robbing banks. Reeves' only friend on the "outside" is his cop-partner played by Gary Busey. Swayze's character takes an immediate liking to Reeves despite the objections of his fellow surfer dudes. Reeves has a fling with Lori Petty's character, whom Swayze has an almost brother-sister-like relationship with. Halfway through the movie, the FBI (mistakenly) busts the Red Hot Chili Pepper Gang thinking they were the ones behind the bank robberies.

In "Fast and the Furious," Paul Walker's character had to go undercover to infiltrate a gang of testosterone-full street racers (headed by Vin Diesel) who have been hijacking tractor-trailers full of electronic equipment. Walker's only friend on the "outside" is the cop character played by Ted Levine. Diesel takes an immediate liking to Walker despite the objections of his fellow racer dudes. Walker also has a fling with Diesel's sister in the movie, played by Jordana Brewster. Halfway through the movie, the cops (mistakenly) bust the Asian gang thinking they were responsible for the hijackings.

Other similarities:

Reeves and Walker are skinny dudes who probably would get their asses kicked if they weren't famous actors. Reeves character drives around in a Mach I (Ford product); Walker's character drives around in a Lightning (Ford product).

Swayze and Diesel are muscle-bound dudes who didn't (or won't) have much of a career after these films. At the end the films, both of their characters are allowed to surf/drive off into the sunset.

Busey put his name on the map portraying Buddy Holly in "The Buddy Holly Story," about a famous musician who died tragically. Levine put his name on the map portraying a serial killer in "Silence of the Lambs," in which he died after getting blown away by Jodi Foster's character.

Petty and Brewster have dark hair. Petty's character is an adequate surfer; Brewster's character has mad rowing skillz.

There have been better surfing movies (like "Endless Summer") than "PB"; there have been better street-racing movies (like "American Graffiti") than "FnF".

So just ignore all the machismo and glorification of rice, get a 6-pack of your favorite BEvERage, and enjoy the movie. :D

LOL very nice....

However, a bud mentioned that a few DVD's came with a NOS decal inside...

I asked if it was spelled NAWSE or something..

That was a great Idea. For Se-R I thought that point Blank was a ok movie. And for the scene when he slams the L into the curb. I had a few words in my living room. Cause I never looked at L's the way I do now. New owner since October.

If you think that movie was bad...wait a few months for the new movie comming out!!! My brother works at a U.A. theater here in Sac. and he told me he just saw a horrid prevue of this movie. I guess the "good guy" in the movie drives a v-tech honda and the "bad guy" drives a all black 87-93 mustang gt. Apparently they race at the end and the honda wins....B.S. Oh that charger in Fast and Furious.... My best friend works for Rex Hutchinson Racing Engines here in Sac. He swears that the engine in the charger (the scene where they show a clear view) was built there and the owner was paid $3500 a day for its use in the movie.

I never thought about the similarities between Point Break and FnF. Weird.... What's even weirder is that I really liked Point Break and hated FnF. I think I lost about 10 IQ points watching FnF.

Did anyone else notice that Dom said you're supposed to double-clutch when racing? Acouple other things said (besides the obvious "nawse") were way off. It's kinda like wrestling, you know its bogus but, the entertainment factor is fairly good.
I saw the twin of that Mopar in Liberty, MO one time. Everything, except the color (it was bright green), right down to the huge blower.
