Explorer heater core.

Not exactly Lightning related, but you all have always helped me before. I bought and old beater Explorer so I can leave the Lightning at home and not bother the wife for her Expedition. Anyway, I've been gradually doing some things to this vehicle and I find it needs a heater core. I've done them on other vehicles, but not this one. Anyone have any experience with this particular vehicle and how hard it is to get at. I'm probably going to tear into it tonight. Looks pretty tight under that dash.

thanks,

Chris

Well, Contrary to popular belief, It does get cold a few times a year. There is a front coming through and I believe it's supposed to be in the 40s in the morning. I've seen it in the 20s here a few times though it usually doesn't last. Add to that the fact that I'm not one to bypass things. If it's supposed to work then I want it to work, drives my wife nuts. Unless of course it's on her vehicle then it's never supposed to break and if it does it gets fixed ASAP.

It's in the teens here. Snowing, too. 40s is like roll down the windows and open the slider type weather here. I'd say the core is behind the glove box like most other Fords but I don't know.
