Ennis results!

We had coolest guys show up of course. Sam, Garret, Terry Hogg, Mark J., Willie, and myself. It was a cold day with a little bit of a tail wind, but still didn't make up for the track prep(traction).
I believe almost everyone spun there way through there 60ft.
There was a good 2 tenths missing because of that. I pulled off a 13.45 @102 in my POS car. Mark, Willie, and Terry H. had the most awesome runs. I missed Mark's run, because I was at the fuel station for 1/2 hour. Willie's best run was his first run. He spun his way out of the hole for a new personal best. Mark was so happy with his run he put his truck up for the rest of the day. But I have got to admit Terry had an awesome run. He is now the man to beat. Terry "Boss" Hogg is the man!:D

Well here are my official times from Ennis.

I was glad to see all who came out, besides the wait in the staging lanes I had a good time. Does anyone know waz up with the $25 race fee? Is that going to be the fee for the rest of the year?

P.S. Doug, I know what your going to say and yes I could have ran better but I forgot to put the belt back on the charger and turn the NOS on!!!!!!!!!!!:p

Terry,
Congrats man!!!! Very nice run, I wish I could of seen it. I had to leave before you got there.

I got a new P.B. out at Ennis and Hallsville.

I was only able to make one pass out at Ennis due to the Huge showing.

Wow Nice runs Mark... You had traction problems ? Geesh what would you have run with good traction ?

Doug

Great runs! So who is going to be the first guy in the 11s?

Mark

Traction problems and still pulling 1.7XX 60ft. times? I've never been able to break 1.8XX even on good traction days. :D

So I guess now is a good time to give Terry a new handle. How about Boss Hogg?

who's going to be the fisrt guy in the 11"s? Hmmmmm....lets see. In the Dallas area, non-nitrous, gen II? already at 111mph in the 1/4......Willie. With a little traction I don't see why not. my .02.

MPH isnt everything... Sixpipes was at 110 a long time ago at around 12.7 ET... What we want to see is 11 sec ET

Doug

Hey bambino

If Willie would have made that run in Cecil it would have been 11's.:D I know he will be a few pounds lighter and different traction setup in a couple weeks. He will probably wait for the weather to warm a little so the track can get sticky.

Well, I am disappointed, to say the least.

$25 bucks.

Over 2 hours in line.

One pass down the strip.

No track prep(to speak of).

A mild sunburn(!)

And all I got was a lousy 13.635@102.37. I spun too much to make it a good run.

All I can say is I beat the turboed 300Z.

Well I really am impressed with Mark's, Willie's, and Terry's times, but the man I am most impressed with is MOONSHINE! Just look at his sig. 12.84 with just a filter kit and chip. On STREET TIRES? And regular radials at that. That is just fu***ng awesome! I think his truck has the most potential. Some trucks just come out of the factory strong and his is one of them. Now only if he would add some more mods.:(

Oh yeah, just got the final count that raced at Ennis. There were 324 cars/trucks racing. There was a llllllllllllloooooooooonnnnnnnnnggggggggg line.

Boss Hogg here,:D

Just want to be the first to say that I WILL run 11's the next time I'm at the track. So bring your camera because it'll either be a quick 11.?? sec. show or an explosive 4th of july in Feb. I also hope I don't have to take out any Red Gen2s from my home town on my way down the track.;)

BTW,Sixpipes
When are you going to let some of us rookies get a shot at that Top Truck Trophy? :p

Dang, I new I shouldn't have started calling you "Boss" Hogg. Now you are getting the big head. You ought to get all of the attention while you can cause some little someone is carrying his long block to Houston next week.:D

Justin, thank you, but more mods? Not gonna happen on my high mileage daily driver. In less than 2 years I've got 44K on the clock, and I plan on this being a daily driver until 150K. I'll gladly lay claim to the mostest with the leastest title, but qualifiers don't really count. The low ET takes the crown, and that's definitely not me. But ya'll sure are fun to watch.:D

Terry,

I'm open to suggestions regarding the T/T Trophy. Probably a head to head competition with seeded brackets would be cool. Who knows, you might red-light and give us all a chance. :D

No Red-Lights here,.560s all day. You set the time and date,I'll be there!!

Hey Justin, tell (someone )that he is going to need more than a fresh long block to beat this Gen 1!!

Hey Doug, do you have any pics. from Kennedale? If so,shoot me a few.

Thanks T Hogg:rolleyes:
