Eaton Pricing

I just gave Reider Racing a call, and that price quote of $290 must have been a limited time offering, because this guy quoted me a price of $345..

There goes that idea..

I keep having trouble keeping excitor rings in the bastard... I got 2000 miles on my last excitor, and it's not too fun changing them out.. I tried the 4 friction disk trick on the Traction-Lok and I don't think it liked it.. I deburred and radiused the edges, guess that didn't make a difference.. I just need to find out what I have to do to keep that rear end alive, because right now I'm driving around with the Anti-Lock fuse out because the rear brakes pulsate everytime I try to stop because of the sensor getting weird readings..I love the posi action of the rear end, it's nice and tight, but the excitor ring just gets chewed up..I'm thinking of just pulling the diff, putting a new excitor on it, and leaving the rest of it alone, because it seems to have really good posi, which is odd..

I called Reider as well and I was also quoted $345 plus shipping. Not too bad from what I've seen so far. I know Summit wants almost $440 for one. Personally, I just ordered mine through an "under the counter" "I didnt see anything" "you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours" kinda deal through one of my vendors I use at work, and I'm paying $340 including tax and no shipping charges. Then add in another $20 for the shim kit and $30 for the carrier bearing kit. Still under $400, which isnt too bad.

I wish I could help everyone else out, but I had a hard enough time working this out for myself. :D
