well to start off here are my mods timing 14*, k&N fip kit , march power pullys, h-pipe, msd coil. my numbers were well lower than i want but tell me if there good with what i got... rwhp was 225.1 tq was 320.7 well let me know what i should do to help those numbers...

HUH!!! Are those numbers right? Lightnings came with 240hp and 340 ft/lb torque engine hp. If your numbers are right you have about 270hp and 385 ft/lb torque. I didn't know underdrives, a K&N, and bumped timing gave 30hp and 45 ft/lb of torque! I was using 20% drivetrain loss. 17%-23% is the norm for a Ford auto right?

Before my powerdyne i dynoed at 230hp/302tq with the same mods as you, except the timing was at 10. I ran a 15.7 @ 87 the next day.

I should go dyno again.

When I had underdrives, flowmasters, bassani x pipe, k&n, and 12 deg timing, I pulled 234 hp and 321 lb ft torque. This was on a 248 chassis dyno in atlanta. After I put in the L cam, bassani headers, and crane 1.7 rr it increased to 250 hp and 334 lb ft torque. I know, I know its not much of a gain but the power bands were much wider and broader than before. At some places the diff. is much greater than the peak gains. Either way there are my numbers.

Wait a second. /"my truck is the biggest factory freak ever mode" on

I ran 14.703@92 W/2.001 with bumped timing on 93 octane gas bassani equal lenght headers catted X-pipe and front exit cat back and K&N. Thats on 40 series street radials, so I know that accounts for some of the faster time but not all of it especialy since you ran 15.7 with pullys. I know that the exhaust might possibly have robbed me of HP if anything(what do you guys think?) I had my timing up at like 17 with no pinging and I ran the 14.703 on a over cast day during the summer in about 70* tempature. I'm 100% positive I don't have pullys, the crank pully says Ford on it, not ASP ect ect along with a few of the other pullys(PS,airpump). I weighed it like that and it weighed 4550lbs with me in it. Whats going on here? Boy oh boy do I wish I would have dynoed it then. A little bit too late now.

LightningWX....what mods you have on your truck now and what are your latest times?? If you've slapped a blower on and your truck was running 14.7's when it was N/A you've gotta be puttin' down some good times now.

Hey, if you had 40 series tires they were probably shorter than stock, so that would give you a slightly lower gear ratio, maybe around 4.30. That may have helped a little bit. Still a damn good time for a few mods.

Got ya covered already. Whats just as impressive as the low time was that I pulled a 2.00 on 40series tires.

SirZarr, I'd like to have some nice times with the blower but I don't. Something little broke the day before everytime I planned on going to the track. I did manage to get a few runs in on 5psi, but my fuel filter was starving me on the top end. It was at GLD and I couldn't hook like I could at byron. I ran a 9.1@79 W/2.3 60'. Then managed a 14.3@89 pretty much coasting thru the traps. I haven't been to the track other than that with the supercharger. I'm a cursed man. For example I was gonna go to the track and lay down some 12s last sunday, but I blew a head gasket with no detonation. It was running like crasy though. I saw 8-9psi and it felt like a solid mid 12 would come out of it. "Jack the maniac's" car runs mid-low 12s with 3 people in it and my truck pulled like that. Hes got a big block olds in a cutlass 79 I think. I compleatly annialated a RT like that, but he probly had a 14sec truck.

Ok you made me do it. I'm gona save up the cash and put her on the chassie dyno this year. Aslong as it still runs the same or better than it did last year.

From downs ford HP calculator

Horsepower Results - 1/4 Mile Method
Your Lightning weighs about 4550 pounds and can complete a 1/4 mile in about 14.703 seconds. That means that you've got about 282.93 HP at the wheels, and about 367.81 HP at the flywheel.
   Thats with K&N exhaust and bumped timing. 14.703@92mph with 2.003 60', I have the slip.

You might have the slip and I don't argue your times, but the HP is in no way correct, sorry..........

I would venture to guess 282 at the crank...I used the corral's and got 282.. I'm pretty sure that's based at the crank.. There's no way in hell you have 367hp at the crank...

If that was the case plug in Jeff's 115MPH trap speed, and see what his crank HP was..

I know it's not right. I was just so astounded by it, that I figured I post it.
