has anyone had trouble with what seems like a weak door skin? when i roll down my window i was noticing the mirror vibrating and thought it was loose, but it wasn't. it's the door panel. i wonder if it has been replaced at some time. where do i look to find the fomoco part no. to see if it is original? this is very irritating and must be stopped.-chris

On my 95 you can see lines running down my driver door as wide as the window.Only at a certain angle but the truck is black so it stands out.My passenger door is garbage.All around the window frame the metal is wavey.If I get a repaint I will have to hunt for a new door.Also check the rear of your bed on the lower corners behind the bumper my bed has cracks forming on both sides.I have checked other Ford trucks and they were also cracking.

Remove the door panel and there is a bolt that holds the brace for the mirror to the inner door frame I bet it is loose. After you have the door panel off just wigggle the mirror and you will see the bolt I'm taking about

mine has the same problem the mirror wiggles around like it is loose. it is on the drivers door. 9mm let me know what you find i will be doing the same thing... looking for a loose bolt or brace....

hey donald- i sure will. i'm going to try to tear into it on sat if it's nice out. i also noticed that the inside door panel is cracked down by the upper stuff holder (cubby hole) whatever you call it. i don't know if this has anything to do with it or not, but i hope it's something simple. i'll let you know what i find. does anyone know where the ford part # is on the drivers door? i want to know if it is original. thx-chris

GJLS- you were right about that bolt. tightened it up and is good as new. thanks.

Donald- that bolt i'm talking about goes from the mirror brace on the outer door skin to the inner frame. it's a brass colored bolt just left of the speaker. i don't know what size it was, i used a crescent wrench on it. tightened it up and the mirror is nice and solid.-chris

No prob but you should of put loctite on it so it won't happen again
