digital odometer reset

Is there any way to reset the odometer. This truck I am building is going to have everything rebuilt or new and the instrument cluster I have says 117,000 miles. If I have to live with it, I will, but there's got to be someone or someplace that can legally change what the odometer reads.

No, I think that illegal. You should check with DMV before you do something like that. You could probly could find one in a junk yard with lower miles on it.

I've checked on the legality issue and since i'm putting it in a 1950 street rod truck, it's not a problem. This truck will be classified as an "antique" or "classic" vehicle and under Texas law is therefore exempt from odometer readings or history.
