Denso's are installed

These things kick a$$. They were well worth the money. The throttle response is unbelievable, and you can feel the difference in the seat of your pants when you stomp on the pedal! Took my time on the install and had no problems. Gapped them to .040" like it was suggested from someone on this board. Can't wait to see them in action when I install the 3lb lower and reinstall the chip!! All the old plugs were tight and had a good burn on the electrode. (Little more wear than I expected considering ford just replaced them with the intercooler recall about 4,000 miles ago).

B99:

Check out a thread over on f150online that shows a test done with 5 or 6 different brands of plugs. The test was to find out which misfired the least--you'll be happy!:)

Sorry, I don't have the link but it's on the first or second page.

Wait a minute--I just saw that thread over here too--see Master of Pain's thread.

How long do denso's last?? Has anybody had them long enough to know? If they last a while I think I may try some out.

Weld them to the heads, if that's an indicator :D

Gapped at .038

I gotta agree... mine have been in for a week and I can sure feel the difference.

Johnny have told me .038 for the gap and that's what I went with. So far... so GOOD...

It's hard to imagine... but it like having a new go fast part on the motor... Hmmm... I guess it is a good fast port then.

Well worth the bucks :tu:

I installed the IT 16 plugs. I bought them through Mike Troyer. His company bought a ton of them and are offering some competative pricing. He also said that people have upwards of 20K on these plugs with no problems what so ever!

HIGH ROLLER
I just checked a complete set of IT20's and they were all at .040/.041 I think I will leave them there.

I am doing a plug change today, but unfortunetly will not be installing the Denso's for now. I am putting in a set of splitfires that are cold cold cold. ( SF10B's)

I'm going to the dyno on march 2 and that is the plug that was in there last time. They don't last long but they run real good on the top end. Dale

They were ALL gapped at .039 out of the box! What is the difference between the 16 and the 20's. Which one is colder?
