damn dent

I was working security at the Airport today and pulled my truck around per the request of some girls to listen to the radio while we worked. I notice a dent in my drivers door!!! SOB Its towards the front bottom and it maybe 2" or so long. Its longer then it is wide. Pisses me off.

How much will this cost to fix? Can a ford dealer do a good job of it?

Thanks.

ask around about dent dr they can probly take car of that for under $100,i dont know where to go never needed them but have heard good things worth a couple of phone calls

I have gone to Dent Wizard a number of times. I have been very pleased with the results. You cannot tell that there was any damage.

The local shop here advertises that they will fix any panel (i.e., one door) for $99.00. I assume Dent Doctor is similar. In some cases they will come to you! They do a lot of business with new and used car dealers so some shops have trucks that go on site.

I believe they are the way to go, however I have only needed repairs for dents where there was no crease in the metal and the paint was not broken. If you have either of these situations, I would let the dent repair folks look at it first, but be prepared to go to a full service body shop.

I believe you can find a list of shops in your area on the Dent Wizard or Dent Doctor web sites.

dent poppers..addison

Dent Poppers next to Joes Muffler in Addison. Its on Addison Road about 1 mile North of Belt Line..they have done 4 or 5 of mine over the years...this guy is the best that I have seen. I had a crease on the drivers side at the front of the fender in close proximity to the turn signal lense.....they drilled a hole on the inside so as to get the tool inserted so that he could apply pressure to the crease and get it out.....and due to the fact that small high spots can exist he took 1200 grit sandpaper to the clear coat....then buffed it out with a buffer..it looks NEW....some guys actually take 1200 to whole paint jobs to eliminate the factory onion peel...the result is smoother paint...but at a very labor intensive process
