Converting Gen 1 to Gen 2 spindles and rear axle

Does any one know if this can be done? Convert a Gen 1 to Gen 2 front spindles and complete rear axle change out to get rear disk brakes?

maybe you should move this to gen 1 or gen2 boards? But if you find an answer Id be very interested to find that out myself! What about rear disks for the gen1 with keeping the 8.8?

The rearend would be an easy swap...just need the axles, caliper brackets, calipers, backing plates, and rotors off of a gen 2. I think the frontend is a little different between the two so I am not sure if you could just swap spindles?? Can't say that I haven't thought about it though....Maybe someone knows...
