Computer terminal cover-up for warranty work? (To hide chip install)

This is so obvious, I thought I'd throw it out there. What do you guys think about making some kind of cover to slide over the computer terminals that looks reasonably close to the greenish "gel" (not sure what to call it) covering that is over them from the factory to hide chip installs from Ford service techs? Not possible? No way a believable cover could be made? How about coating it with something that is guaranteed not to harm the computer, but will wipe off just as easily as the factory coating after you get your truck back?

Does this sound like a good idea?

I think it would rock for ALL OF US if it were possible!

Good point SVT375, I thought you could "blank" the computer by removing the negative battery cable for 10 minutes or so, then reconnect? Maybe this just clears codes? Not sure...

Anybody else have any input??

Was listening to the car doctor on the radio..he says to remove pos. and neg. cables for 10-15 minutes. Then touch the two together! this will clear everything. Or so he says. :D

unhooking the pos and neg terminals then touching them together works on a Honda. Havent tried on Lightning, But it sure works on car.
