Hey guys,
I am going to move out to Colorado this fall and I was wonedering if having a Gen 2 for an everydat driver is a bad thing. I would be going into the mounitains a lot and around Boulder. If you guys drive in the winter do Blizzacks and weight help in the back? Thanks
Hunter

personaly i would never and i mean never drive my lightning in the snow. once i had to drive it in the rain for like 5 seconds and i was pissed. just enough time to crack both of my fog lights which still havent been replaced.

but for you i would say that blizzaks and alittle weight would help you tons when driving in the snow and ice. boulder is a nice place and im sure that you will like it. just dont get into the blower and you should do great. maybe will be able to get everyone in colorado together some time for a day at the track or something. that would be fun im sure.

good luck :tu:

 what do you mean by, "doing guys" in your interests

I understand about not driving in weather. If I could afford two trucks the Lightning would only be out on the sunniest days. But since I dont then I would have to drive it in the snow and rain. Do any of you live in or go into the mountians with your lightnings in the winter at all.

O ok well i wish that i owned two of them also:eek: i would have a romper;) and a bad *** special occation L. :D  :tu: actualy i have a lighting and an Explorer and the explorer is a daily driver. just get a beater there the coolest;) :D ;t

You should be fine with a second set of wheels with some good snow tires. I have a supercharged Gen1 with a shift kit. I purchased a second set of wheels and mounted a set Cooper Winter-Master ST tires (265/70/17) for $95 each. I get around great. With a Gen2 you should even be better because of the 4 wheel ABS. Put some weight in the back and buy a bug shield for the front and have some fun. You will hate the rock the put on the roads here (they call it sand but it is rock). It takes its toll on the paint.

So you think that it would do alright. I know for a fact that when it snows I would go nowwhere in the mountians. I know that the lightning would ge fun in any weather but i also dont want to get stuck all the time.
