Chip Removal - Going to Dealer

Going to take the L in for service and wanted to confirm the correct way to clear the ECU.

1) Remove neg from battery.
2) Remove chip from ECU and replace with black cover.
3) Turn on headlights for 15 minutes.
4) Put neg back on battery.

or you can find a dealership with a Cuban service manager (not too much of a challenge), pay him 20 bucks and you wont have to clear doo-doo!

Drive it around in stop and go traffic then let it cool off and do it again,that should set the codes to where it wouldn't show the 6 gran burn outs,lol. Do that after you have unhooked the battery and hooked it back up. Should show normal driving paterns then.
