Can Leaf springs be used w/ 2" shackles for additional drop?

I just installed a set of "2 inch" shackles, but only got a disappointing .75" drop. I need to come up with an additional 2" from somewhere (to level my truck) Can your Leafs be used in conjunction w/ these shackles to get some additional drop?

Thanks

2" drop

Who's shackles did you install? My Bell-Techs will give a 1"or 2" drop. Depending on your 1st or 2nd setting. Could you have possibly installed a similar set and bolted up through the 1" hole setting? Check.

My composites will give you an additional 2" drop. Reduce truck weight by approx. 72lbs. Improve weight transfer. Aid in reducing wheel hop. Let me know if I can be of any more help.

I have the Ground Force kit. I'm using the last holes on the shackles, but I got NO WHERE NEAR 2" drop (only .75" as I said earlier). However the front coils gave me 2.5" of drop. So I went from a slight rake (in stock form) to a full blown "jacked up" slant in the rear. I really need to get the a$$ of my truck out of the stratosphere.

How difficult is it to install the Leafs (I'm pretty handy with a wrench)? The big question is, does it require any machine shop work? Any special tools to remove the stockers?

Composites

No machining when installing the composites. Jack stands and basic hand tools. One side at a time. Working in reverse, composites go on as stock leafs come off. No extra hardware needed.
I don't understand why you finished with such a large drop up front. If your unhappy with the Ground Force I offer a Eibach progressive front coil that gives a true 1" and a better ride/handle on the L.

Yeah...I'm confused as well?? Before I installed the kit I only wanted 1" or so on the front...but after getting 2.5", I actually like it quite a bit. I just wish the rear would've cooperated and given what it advertised.

However if the Leafs are as simple to install as it sounds, that's what I'll end up going with. :D Perhaps there's light at the end of the tunnel after all. :)

Lite

Not only Light but lite. The composites will drop truck weight by approx. 72 lbs. And aid in weight tranfer/ reduce wheel hop.

Nice pun :D

Wow...that's a significant weight savings! So how much do the stockers weigh (each)?? Either they are HEAVY AS HELL, or the composites are feather-lites. Being so lightweight...how strong are they? (ie. how susceptible are they to sagging later on?)

Sorry for the continous questions...but considering the additional cost of the composites over both the hangers as well as the Hotckis leafs....I just want to "weigh" the pro's and cons. ;) I'm relatively ignorant on leaf spring suspensions....so any info is welcome.

Composites

Stock steel are 48lbs. ea. for a total of 96lbs. LFP composites are 11.5lbs. ea. for a total of 23lbs. Strong as steel, 0 memory loss, meaning they never lose there shape like steel. Better weight transfer, improved traction, reduces wheel hop. Lowers L 2".

Do you also have a LFP composite leaf spring that does not lower the L? I already have the Belltech 3/4 kit on my truck and want to add the leafsprings.
