Cam Question???

StruckBy

FAST Eddie ;)
Hey Raymond, HotRod here. StruckBy and myself are doing some numbers crunching tonight about a cam swap. I think a cam with a .220-225 duration on the intake would be better for his heavy truck and the desired 1/4 mile MPH of 108ish.
Now, can you get the EEC-Tuner to control a cam with a .220ish duration?? If so, Ed might go that route to run better on the motor. He might be ditching the N2O for now. This would be a roller cam, also. Can you give us some input on what can be controlled with the Tuner so he can get the right grind cut? Thanks Raymond. Rod K.

Hi guys, Terry Williams at Cam Motion is the guy to talk to.

With my Mustang cam I was able to mess around with the VE tables a bit and the startup fuel tables (and in Struckby's case maybe the displacement multiplier), but I could never get it just right. It would have a surge now and then, but most of the time when warmed up it was pretty good.
