C3P2 Processor & EEC Tuner

Plenty of people had, until we figured out that it took different firmware for the C3P2...... The C3P2 is also the Lightning PCM making the most power with an EEC-Tuner now.

I'm sorry you bent a pin on the Tuner, hell I'm sorry you didn't get the J-3 port clean enough !

I replied to your e-mail on the mailing list and I am replying here, just send the Tuner back and I'll refund your money. I think that's best for both of us.

I have the C3P2 with a EEC Tuner and it's great ! and the support is top notch :D Thanks Raymond ;)

I have that processor and the tuner as well. Raymond has been a huge help to me!

So Raymond does the newer tuner (v5.1 right?) work with the C3P2 yet? Will we ever get datalogging? And what about those of us who had to trade back for the original tuners? Just curios.

Chuck, data logging is on hold right now. The firmware that enables it really freaks out the C3P2's and I think C3P3's too. So those PCM's need 5.1 boards like what you have (the newest Tuner's are 5.3's).

That's why I was buying up processors so we could test exactly what is going on.

When and if data logging is available I'll work out upgrading everybody's boards for free of course :)

I'm sorry Raymond and excuse my ignorance, are you saying right now C3P2 processors can't use the EEC new or old? please explain.
Steve

No problem Steve, the C3P2 processors need to use a version 5.1 EEC-Tuner. The "version" means the type of firmware programmed in the EEC-Tuner. So you can have the newest EEC-Tuner with the 5.1 verion firmware loaded on it and it will work on C3P2 computers.

Robert's is a 5.1 board and will work on C3P2 processors once the bent pin in the card edge connector is fixed.

I hope that makes sense :)

I have the C3P2 and haven't had any problems with my tuner:) You can find the pcm code in the driver's side door jamb towards the front or on the pcm (which is a little bit of work to get to) - Brian

Hi John, originally data logging will be for the ICY1. The reason for that is 'cause it's my truck and I can experiment on it :) If I can get the RAM addresses figured out then C3P1's shouldn't be a problem 'cause all of them like the latest version of the Tuner.

There are 4-5 C3P1 users I can think of right now, you and Hotrod are the latest. I have a file area in my mailing list for posting and sharing files. I'll also look at setting aside some space on my web site for Lightning files and so forth.

O.K. just so everybody knows, I'm not dissing Raymond or the EEC Tuner. I have posted on the EEC board my appology if that is the way it sounded. I got the bent pin fixed tonight and tomorrow I will put it back on the truck and see what happens. As I said on the EEC board the truck runs damn good with the tuner when it will start. I do have a quick question that I have asked before, how do I put a picture in my post? I go down to the bottom where it says attach file but the picture didn't show
