Bad shake

whats up guys went to the drag strip this saturday. Posted my best time in the truck 15.093 at 89.87 miles an hour but I think I broke something in the rearend. When my truck is going down the road it feels like the tires arent round and you can really feel it at like 45 to 55 miles an hour. I looked under it and the transmission cross member was nice and tight the u joints looked like they were holding up I took the drive shaft and tried to turn it with my hand and it wouldnt budge so that told me that the u-joints are good. so i think its time for a new rearend any suggestions. Oh yeah Im going to take it to the shop monday morning and let them look at it to amke sure it is the rearend. If the clutches go bad in it will it cause the rear end to shake?

Maybe you spun your tires on the wheels and threw the tires out of balance. Just a thought.

Where did you run? We're looking for tracks in North Georgia.

We ran a 15.2/88MPH at Silver Dollar Raceway on Saturday.

Hey Dennis,
Try rotating the tires, (front to back). This is a cheap way to see if it's the tires or maybe a little more serious. It could also be a warped brake drum.

whats up white lightning atlanta dragway is opening up on feb.24 its im commerce GA about an hours drive from marrietta and its a quarter mile.

Thanks for the info on the track in calhoun Ken. We would like to try an 1/8 mile. When is the best time to go? Who can we call to get more info?

I'll find out about calhoun.
I wouldn't mind hitting Reynolds again. (After the tune-up). I still think there's a 14 in my truck.

Where Y'at Dennis, It's possible you could have spun the tire on the rim, but I'm betting that you flung a wheel weight. Burn outs will do that.;)
