Anyone know anything about subs???

I just bought a custom fit box for the L, but I don't know what kind of speakers to put in it. It has 2 8" holes. I am inquiring on some JL 8W4's. Are the any good? Will they hit hard? Is there a better sub I can get some major punch out of? Any feed back is apprecated? I don't know a hole lot about subs.

I was a real big speaker fan at one time, it all depends if you want crisp and clear or hard hitting, crisp are all jl is about, but go with w3s if the make them in 8 inch if you want hard hitting kicker solos are real good but they are power starved need some good watts, and after you get your subs in go buy a jl component set for mids and highs, hope i helped

depends on the space of the box. some speakers need more room then others

One 12 will out perform 2 10's in all areas. I'm running a single 12 Kicker comp. I've got it setup tight.
