Well, wondering if production is near completion on the new road course. I'm drooling just thinking about it as the nearest road course around is hours and hours away. I'm sure the New York chapter of the SCCA will be delighted....

Man you guys out West got it good;)

Spike and your Laguna Sec eat your heart out. The east cost is catching up (well at least within a close driving distance from my house :D)

You're lucky. All the tracks in this area (Laguna Seca, Sears Point, Thunderhill, Buttonwillow, California Speedway, and the rest) are a long drive.

UPDATE - rumors flying around.

So far I have been hearing that the car clubs and racing organizations in NJ are not wanting to participate in the new track.

Reasons being:
Track isn't to really wide enough
Wasn't thought out properly
To close to service and main roads
Theres only a guardrail and some dirt b/n the track and road, though my friend says there putting up some fencing but he doesn't think it will help.

Basically they think it's going to be a high risk and don't want to participate.

Really if you look at the picture you can tell some of the concerns. On the main straightaway you can easily get to over 100mph, and 1 wrong move you can see how quick it is to get on the main road.

Thats all I've heard so far.

Yeah i could see the concerns they have. I would run it anyway probably have to be a bit more cautious. Man that is a terrible letdown as I really looked forward to do some racing here locally.

That is what I'm going to do. Since haven't done a road course yet, I'll go on that one. Just go slow to get used it. Then I'll go out to real road course where they have instructors ride with you.
