My headlights are way out of adjustment. I think i am going to take it out toinght on a dark road and make some adjustments. Anyone have any do's and dont's when making these adjustments? Thanks Paul
I guess you already have something to turn the adjusters with.the best way to set them, short of have a pro do it is to pull you truck up to a garage door ,side of a house or something flat.Stay back about 8-10 feet.Your truck needs to sit as level as posible and not cocked side ways to the thing they are shining on.
You should be able to get them close like this. They should be shining level and stright a head.
Hope this helps and if you have any ??s let me know.
Johnny
Paul, look in the Feb. Popular Mechanics in the car care section. It has a picture and discription on adj. headlights. It shows 25 ft. from the wall to the car, and has a picture of what the light pattern should be . Good luck, Jeff
Thanks gary....I would have never thought of that
I got the lights adjusted last night. The dark road method worked great. It was just too windy and cool to mess with laying on the ground and messing with the fog lights.
