Another Lightning Owner in the Family

Sixpipes,

Got a call from Chris today, and he is the proud owner of a 1993 Lightning ---- the fastest and quickest color of course -- that makes 4 1/2.:D:D:D

Come on flats man come over to the dark side !!

You can use the STX to tow the L to the FFW's in Texas....

You know you want to .... Soon youll be the ONLY one in the Go_Rila clan without a Lightning....

Doug

Nice looking truck! Extend him an invitation to the February (7th) Talon meeting at Pugsley's.

93 Lightning

Does this new ownership allow me to hang with you cool guys???With a little time and a little money..I see a 396 with flow numbers over 300cfm cocktailing on 200shots of juice.....and a blown tranny of course, after hitting that high 11 mark in the track. Lookout!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Silver,I happen to have my eye on a Nice White L here in Fla. That will be a Son & Grandson project which will stay in Dallas. The little STX will be used for dusting Ricers and trips to the Keys!

Hey Razor-What a great looking Truck! I am real happy for you and it couldn't belong to a nicer Guy. It will be fun to watch you build it up. We just had a FLA L on a 125 shot do 530 RWHP so watch out for those Gen II Guys!

well, I guess I am going to be the odd man out -- Sixpipes with a $45K plus gen2, Flatsman with a $40K STX ,and RaZor heading to a $30K+ Gen1, and mine is stock ------ I guess I will just smile as they go by or something:p

RaZor --- Laughing gas means big $$$$$ in parts, don't forget that --- remember Brians $27K engine only made four 6.xx 1/8 mile passes before grenading --- something to think about:rolleyes:

NOS

Brian hit the motor with 450 shot and made several passes before MELTING/ running 2 cylinders lean. The motor didnt break either...just became a 6 banger! He clicked a 6.16 1/8...relative to mid 9's. Anyways....A GEN 11 on 125! Sounds cool...that guy must have deep pockets. Its no mystery to when the rods say uhoh! So 125 shot is putting them/ cylinder presure right in that critical range. It will happen.Back to earth...
I can build a stroker 351W to spank EVERY Gen 11...and still be street legal....Just dont have the funds right now.

Laterz...

Hey Chris,
Congrats on the L.
I'm going to be selling the L within the next few weeks:(
I think Chuck E. (bay 6) is going to buy it from me.
Are you going to try for 3-13's also? I worked it for three weeks, It is a great shift.

Autothrottle

Selling the Lightning??? How come? About the 3-13's... Probably not cuz the wife would leave me for not being around on weekends...we'll see....

Laters, Chris

What are you asking for ur L?

We have a 6 month old and the wife really wants to stay at home.
So in order to do this we have to cut monthly costs.

Autothrottle,

Sorry to hear that you are getting rid of the Gen II, but you can still come out and play with the Gen I. :(

Maybe we will see more Gen Is in the club as we go along.:D

Ivanhoe

I think the guy at work with the blk 93 is standing on his price for awhile. If he comes down... I will let you know. I checked it out today...overall....its in great shape. The paint is soft and shiny but a few nicks and scratches here n there. And only 1 TINY ding..front left fender..barely noticable. Interior is a 10. Body 8.

Who Hornquest???
He just bought a Blue 02'
We were on the same crew for 2 years. He beat the sh*t out of that thing. He also got rear-ended pretty good a few years back. I think they replaced the bumper and the bed.

We're going to go down to one car for a few months to see how that works. Thats why I'm going to 3-13's.

Hey Flats

You have at tad more HP and 10 less ft.lb torque. You would take me!, by a truck length. Just wait u ol' fellas! 15's...14's...uhuh....not gonna cut it. I see 11.5-12.25 in the future!

Great looking truck...

A little delayed in the post... but what happened? Ivanehoe got tired of you beating him with his other L?
