where can i get an aluminum throttle body...unlike the factory pot metal ones...it doesnt need to be a polished one like BaBolt's but that would be nice...?

i need one i can weld to...the factory ones and the single blade that i got from spiro are some kinda pot metal...yuk! 400 bucks...hmmm
Lets get it all straight. SVO is now FRPP and that is where the magnesium throttle body is available through (as per PFA). All of the stock Ford ones are an aluminum dicasting and if you are a good aluminum welder you can do a very nice job on reworking one of these. Both of these items will polish up very well and it is just the amount of effort that you have to put into it. The magnusium one will oxidize no matter how well you polish it. In fact hit it with a little vinegar and you can watch it disappear before your very eyes.
PS. As for chrome you will have to polish the unit anyway and you will lose all of the critical dimensions after it is plated. You will play heck trying to get the bearings out of the unit so that you can chrome it too

Point being I carry the single bore T/B.Cobra, SVO, SVT, XYZ, ABC,123. Produced for FRPP. I convert them for use on Lightnings. I can polish one up for you. Or you may purchase a billet one from BaBolt.
