ahhh!!! idler pulley!

ahhh!!! tensioner pulley!

I noticed today that my belt was only on by about three rib on the alternator tonight! And the idler pulley was crooked! The bolt for the idler pulley broke when I tried to adjust the belt! I ended up taking the alternator and the bracket behind that off so I could tap the broken off piece of that bolt out. I was planning on heading out of town tomorrow when I got off work but I guess I'll be putting a new idler pulley assembly on first. God I hope one of the local Ford dealerships has one in stock! What a pain in the butt!

Any idea on approximate cost of the idler pulley and bracket? Or if I can just get the bolts, I guess I could get the rest of the broken bolt out of the bracket. What a day!

Pullies are cheap. I paid around 30.00 for both the pullies at NAPA. I dont know about the bracket.

Yeah, I guess I should be lucky I saw in the garage, rather than find out about it on the side of the interstate! It is just going to make tomorrow a busy day! Work, put the L back together, then a 4 1/2 hour drive! My fiance better give me a massage when I get to her house!

Plus I am still sore from the dang header install!
