A couple Tuner Qs???

Hi Raymond. Ive had a couple of questions come up recently. Can we turn the EGR function off with the Tuner?? I dont run a EGR plate anymore and it might be sending conflicting info to the computer.

Second. Im going to run a set of the Nitto 450 275/50/17s for my street tires. They are 28" tall, like my race tires. Is the speedo computer controlled or gear driven, like in a Mustang?? If its the computer, can we correct the speedo with the new tires??
Otherwise, the truck is still chirping second and running hard. It still has that little "pop", though. If Im driving along with the O/D off so my revs are like 3000rpm, just cruising, and I lift off the gas and it decelerates without the brakes when I tip into the gas at asy 2000 rpm, itll stumble and "pop". Then it goes fine. Like I said, it doesnt do it all the time, but it sounds like it needs more " accelerator pump". See what you think. As always thanks for all your help. Talk to you soon, Rod K.

Hi Rod, I will add a couple of things to that .dat file to help you with the tip in problem. I'll send 'em your way when I'm done :)

Speaking of trans.I have Mass air for the engine, so could I add another tuner to my truck CPU so I could control the trans shift points, firmness etc...
Or is there someway I could use just the tuner I have since I wont change much in the trans. Thanks

Hmmm, well you could use a Tuner, but honestly I think I would just use a good shift kit. Are you going to run a lockup converter ?

Ive already got a PI converter and a valve body if been running.I also have a chip Sal made for me in there now.I was just thinking about changing my shift points at the track to see what it did.
