'99-'00 20's on...

Just got my "old style" 20s on. Here are a couple of pictures. This is with a 4/4 drop, I'm going to lower another 3/4" front and 1" rear this week.

Thanks guys, Jeff, when I picked up the truck from the dealer I made sure they didn't touch it. I buffed it out with a foam pad and a fine polish. I use a plain carnuba paste wax with no cleaner and wax it once a week. I have several blk cars and they all look the same.

Billy, looks like you have some fast Mustangs, my friend who builds my Supras has a 347 SC Mustang. He really needs some advice about it and if you don't mind I would like to give him your e-mail.

Thanks, SW

It's Ford Laser Red. That's Kenny's (Servicetex) truck. It has a really nice custom job on it. The paint is really really smooth. He said they laid down silver then blue, then red pearl on top. It's definitely a very distinctive color.

Wish I could have made it guys but I had already had plans. Nice pics by the way.

S.W., your truck looks great!!!:tu:

Lookin real nice street king!!

What brand and size tire did you go with? Also, did you change your shocks when you dropped it? I dropped mine and put 20's on it last week. The ride is kinda rough with the 3/4 drop and the stock shocks. Im debating on which aftermarket shocks to go with now:confused:

Thanks Nick, yours looks great too. I'm running stock shocks for now too, but have some Doestech(sp?) ordered. I'm lowering more, 3/4" front 1" rear on wed, and installing the shocks then. I will let you know how it works out.

Streetking, Your truck looks Awesome!!! What kit did you use to get your Lightning so low??? How are you going to lower your Lightning 3/4 more in the front another 1 inch in the rear??? Is the rear of your Lightning C-sectioned??? If not is the rear bottoming out on the frame???

Thanks in Advance, djy

Thanks djy, yours was the insperation for mine.:) I started with the 3/4 kit, now I ordered the Western Chassis front(adj) hangers coming. They will allow another 1" drop for the rear. I will c-section the frame at the same time. For the front, I am going to trim the front spring just a little.

There are a few places but I got it here.....

They have great adhesive tape on the back. You just peel off the paper and stick where you desire.

Streetking, Are you sure you want to trim your front coil??? It might weaken your coil in the front. As far as lowering the rear while you are at it, make sure your drive shaft is not scraping I had to trim under my bed the bed supports and above my rear end because of the drop. Because of the scraping that was going on under my bed on the drive shaft and rear end.

Thanks for the quick reply!
