How many of you guys are in Houston, Texas. Looking for the older model trucks to come join in with the HALO group in all the club fun and activity.

I'm up in College Station (Gig'em). I though about joining HALO, but it seemed like an all gen2 club so I didn't. Duck, a good friend of mine, knows and races w/ a bunch of y'all. I do want to go to the track and get some times in tho. Plus it would be nice to get some dyno runs in and a little help from any gen1'ers you have. Let me know what you think.

Nathan

I wouldn't mind joining. I wouln't be able to make Burger-n-Fries Nite any (school), but I could make it up there one weekend a month.

From what I hear y'all have a lot of fun, and I would like to be a part of that. Plus the discounts!!!!!!!! :D :D I'll talk to Duck and get his input again.

Nathan

Hey 1badtk I'll be moving to the Houston area this summer and am looking foward to meeting and hanging with you guys.

I'm tired of being the only Gen 1 at all the BNFs. :) Come on we need some more..We all know Gen 1s are the fastest...;) ;) ;)

Hey ya’ll, I would have joined HALO but I just transferred to SMS University in Springfield, MO. I will be living here for the next two or three years. I want be making down to Houston that much, but when I do I’ll be sure to look ya’ll good old boys and girls up:tu: !

Hey Mark,

How is your truck coming? I would like to know, are you changing the heads and cam? Well, good luck with everything and let me know what kind of HP you have when everything is done. Take care.

Nope, not at the current time. Kyle is installing new pumps in the tanks. He sais he is installing Buick 255lph pumps, they are shorter and he said will fit nicely in the original spot. 36# squirters, Vortech S-Trim/Powerstroke intercooler, custom tune. More later definately. Good to hear from ya man, I have thought about ya. In fact I was in Channelview a couple of weeks ago and saw a clean Black Gen 1 and wondered if it was you. Email me again sometime. Miss talkin with ya, see ya...Good luck with school.. :w

Your right, it is mostly 99-02's in the club, but not because we ever wanted it that way. It's a Lightning Club, and as I see that its open to all Ford Lightning's. I even banned the word Gen1 on our forum to say 93-95. I have never liked the seperation of the trucks and still don't. If you own a Lightning (93-95; 99-02) and Live in Houston or surounding area we would love for you to come out and show off your truck. If you own a Lightning and are ever in Houston, gives us a shout. We will call a special BnF just to visit with you. HALO is Lightning Specific!
I will admit I am having a hard time with the new blue one's :m

I just got a red '94 about 3 weeks ago. I am interested in the club, just haven't had a lot of time to look into it. I did meet Mark Sylvesti (sp?) at Tommy Vaughn a couple of weeks ago, and he gave me a little info on the club, like I said I haven't had alot of spare time to look into it any further. Is there anyone else on the east side of Houston in the club? I am from La Porte, and noticed surfing the web most of you guys are across town from me.

I'm in Clear Lake....there are quite a few of us near you. Steve Steinle lives in LaPorte...He has a Gen 2 L..

Hi John, forgot about you, haven't seen you around in awhile. Last time I saw you was when I was parked at the Teller at Wells Fargo and I honked at ya....Anyone seen Jim Valentine lately????

Here is a link to a map that has where all the members are, it just doesn't tell you who the members are. HALO member map

Somebody was going to fix that for me........... BUT? I guess I will half to do it now.
:m

No John it wasn't you, it was another member, but I am working on a point and click map will all the members name and year model truck. One color icon for 93-95's and another color icon for the 99-02's. It will list name and year only.

Pro-Charger

It's been hard dealing with Pro-Charger so we may be looking into a Vortec head unit and a custom inter-cooler.

Being A Pest

I am being a pest but I really do want to figure out a way to get the two model year trucks together. I am looking to do a couple of Lightning Shows this year and it sure would be nice to have the older one's in with us. The excitement of the 93-95 model Lightning's in their day was as high as it is today with the new one's. I know a good bit of the reasoning behind NLOC was created by the 93-95 year models and helped in sharing the excitement of being a new owner.
Let's forget about the differences in the two different models and focus on the name, "Ford Lightning".
I cry out again, please, if you are in the Houston, Texas area come out and visit, join, fellowship, and race with us, not against us, in all our club activities. I am speaking for all of our club members when I say "we need you" to make this club complete.

Thank You
