I used Bell Tech shackles in the rear & cut 1/2 coil from the stock front springs. Handles much better now.

front spring

How did you cut the front spring. Did you just remove, measure height, and cut?? I like your truck's stance. Just right. Was yours sitting high in the rear when you got it or was it level?

DR.D

I cut the spring with a 4" disc grinder ( do not use a torch). Only cut 1/2 of a complete coil off. It won't seem like much, but it drops the front about 1", then about 2" after it settles. My truck was about 1" high in the rear when I got it.

Here is a picture of the Bell Tech 3/4 kit. It comes out to a 2/4 on a L and when you move the rear shakel to the 2nd hole it comes out to a 2/3 kit!!

Thanks, sounds easy enough but I may do 3/4 . Yea mine has the 70's air shock look too. 2-inch shackles are a must for mine. I want it 2-3 real inches lower and I would still like to keep a little rake to it. If I have it long enough, I'd like to go full pro street look with tubs.
BTW, that red Gen 1 sure looks good. I had a red 93 before the 01. Still think they look awesome. If they would have put a 350+hp motor in that I would have liked it more. They missed the mark on hp in the Gen 1. Lot of potential but it shouldn't require you to get it to go. It comes from SVT. They should have searched longer for the pulse.

iculokn,
Your truck looks great!! I just have a couple of questions. What is all included in the bell-Tech kit? Why is there an inch difference between an L and a regular f-150 in the front? And are you serious about the rear shackle to the second hole = 1 inch remark? This might be the kit that I will get if it can be made a 2-3. Thanks!!
