Guys im looking to buy some injectors and the FMS 150s are under 500 bucks and look to be the best deal compared to say 83s or so.Plus later on when I go up in blower size Ill not have to worry about Injectors.
Im running Mass-air(A9L)with the EEC- tuner will I be able to make the 150s work on the street?
Thanks guys.

I simply can't imagine that you'll be able to idle those firehoses without having to replace fouled sparkplugs every 6 blocks...

Sure he'll be able to run thoes firehouses...Run an FMU, with about a 12:1 disk, and turn you're AFPR down to about .5 psi, that should do it..

Seriously though, you might have to contemplate doing something like that, or atleast SOME way of getting your idle fuel pressure down, because I'm pretty sure you're going to run into a minimum fuel pulsewidth problem.

BTW...What are you doing about the computer?? I mean who's converting it to low impedance?? I know Lidio used to do it, but since he stopped....

I hear you cna get the 150s from bob utter ford for less than $300 It is the dealer in texas that Doug Mangum works for.

i cant imagine any reason you would need that big of an injector unless you are building an 8 second truck?

honestly if your building something that requires that much of an injector i think its time to do away with the factory computer and go to speed pro or dfi

150 lb injectors are good enough for about 1800HP at stock pressure(40psi)... I really really really think it's WAY too much injector..

Stick with 83's or whatever you need to fullfill you're need now...

Yea Im having trouble finding someone to change over my A9L so I can run bigger injectors.Anyone have an idea on anyone?
I was just wondering about the 150s because of price but maybe not.

Marcus, the bigger you go on injectors the harder it will be to get the thing to idle and have good driveability. <--- That's up to you if it really matters.

No matter what you use DFI, Tuner, etc large injectors do not always flow well (spray patterns) at low pulsewidths.

There is also the physical limit of how fast an injector can open and close, and to get a good idle the required pulsewidth might be below that limit.

If you look at Jerry's truck he's cranking out over 600 FWHP with 36's ! I hope to make over 700 with 42's. Taking that into account I would think you could probably go pretty high with 50's and not have to mod your computer. At least it would buy you some time until you can find someone to do the low imp. conversion.

50s with a 2-1 FMU will handle what Im wanting to do.Maybe that is the way to go then.I just got to hurry WFC will be here SOON LOL.

150 # Injectors on the Street!!!!

Hey Marcus what's up Man??? I just wanted to let you know that I think the FMS 150# Injectors are to big for the street. I agree with Mike, I think you should maybe get rid of the stock Computer for a D.F.I. System like I have if huge injectors are what you want.

Jason Brown is Running two sets of the FMS 150# Injectors for his 2,000 H.P. Truck.
I am running 96# Low Impetence Injectors.
I guy named Tommy Larocca has a 9 second Lightning runing 160# Injectors but all of these trucks are Race Only Trucks....
Maybe 83# Injectors are the way to go with your set up Marcus if you don't wanna move up to a Digital Fuel Injection System...

This is INSANE. I was just hoping I could replace my 150k 19lb injectors for some new 24lb ones without the computer trippin out. 150lb injectors would be like pouring fuel from a bucket.

That's what happens when you put a big drag racing blower on a svo block based 410.... You need lotsa fuel..

Marcus, what kind of mileage ya expecting to get ;)

Wow...150s, unless you plan on running Outlaw PS in the NMCA...forget those.

Atomizing the fuel is the key and that injector is way too big for your application. You will want to stay away from running pairs per cylinder as well...I have a ton of experience in that department and I can tell you that it is VERY difficult to smooth the transition...especially if one set is sequential and one set is batch or bank....driveability is a bear even on a true programmable system with target AF and O2 correction capabilities...ie F.A.S.T./SpeedPro, Motec, EFI Technologies, etc.

I can get you a set of 55#s that will work with the drivers in your current PCM....50's were the biggest high imp injector available, but that has changed.

Let me know if I can help Marcus.

Hi Kyle, how are you !

It's good to get experienced input ! I know where I'm going if I run out of injector with the 42's :)

What HP range do you think those 55's can handle ? I'm thinkin' they can handle Marcus's truck.

one other option you guys might not be aware of is having injectors modified to flow more. i know you can get up to 77lb injectors with high impedence that will work with stock EEC computers.

Johnson Motorsport (JMS) is one company that does this and ive known several people who have had good luck with it.

something to think about

GJLS that 2nd set of injectors look like a cool setup.

I havent bought anything yet so Im open to anything right now.Just trying to not spend a crap load of money since it has been flying out of my account like crazy!!!!!!!!

Kyle what can you get me a set of 55s for and whats a good FMU to use with all aftermarket fuel rails, pump etc...I looking for around 850+ HP.
Thanks guys for all the imput.
