Thanks Ruslow. :)

Hey -- the modified brackets come with the shocks or should I be expected a second package?

Everything is either installed on the shock or in the box.Glad they made it there. Was worried because they are a big ticket item in a small box.I think that I ship beginning of week for that reason that way they are not left in the warehouse somewhere over the weekend

I can tell by the boxes that you got the wrong shocks. Please pack them up and send them to me, and I will make sure they get returned. :D

Heheh, now to make the appointment to get them installed with the new springs. oooo I'm going to feel like such a newbie my first autox this season, I got used to how the truck handled before...hehe

Send me an email and I'll forward the instructions for the installer. There's a trick to install the fronts and one other item you don't want backwards...
(those who have installed them may know what I mean)

I'm still aiming to get Rouch springs, and I'm not going anywhere near them myself. :) heheh..

I'm hoping to get it all together, and take the stuff down to JDM to get them installed along with a 2lb pulley, electric fan, water pump, headers, exhaust and 3.73 gears.

Hey Spike -- got your email. My only problem with asking Stan for springs is I don't quite know what I want. Going with Rousch was the easy way out.

If you tell him your interests, he'll have any idea of what spring rates and drop would work. Just an idea to save money.

Drove the truck today even with the snow and ice on the roads. Was clean in spots. The spring rate that I have in ft now is 1200#,shocks are set on 5,with urethane bushing in the control arms.Ride is not to bad actually better than I thought for the spring rate. The drop is measured from the spindle center line to the top of the fender cutout, its 17.5 inches. stan
PS I can get rates from 500 to over 1500 in 100# increments.

I have to get the shocks dynoed to find out what the actuals are. I'm still running my at a higher setting, mainly to stop the movement on rebound.

I just measure my drop for comparison. 17.5" on both fronts. 17.0" on both rears.

Did you try the brakes to see if the ABS worked?

Spike

:tu:

Yes the abs works is real easy to try on the snow and ice!.As for more braking test that was not going to happen.Well seams like your drop and mine are the same. Now my rear is 18.5 so I am alittle higher there.Am curious to see how well it is going to handle with them.Stan

Dan - your gonna be like a little kid standing outside toy-r-us waiting to get all that installed. I was thinking about doing the long tubes also, then getting the truck dyno tuned. Haven't decided yet.
