Turbo Diesel inlet tube?

I have a 95 L with a K&N open air element. Would it be better to go with the turbo diesel inlet tube? What does the turbo diesel inlet tube do? How much work is it and what is the part number?

Thanks

John

The diesel tube works as an inexpensive ram air setup. It hooks up to the part of the stock assembly that goes up to under your hood (when its closed). It seperates into two parts, and you replace the end that bends up to your hood with the diesel tube, which goes down to an opening in your grill. At the dealer here in town, it was $32 but he gave it to me for $26. It apparently must be a decent setup because Ive seen some aftermarket supercharger companies where the diesel tube comes as a part of the kit. I couldnt tell you how much work it is because I havent tried it yet, and I dont know the part number either, but its just the intake tube off of a '93 or '94 diesel.
Hope this helps.
