Baby in Lightning, air bag question?

I have a 95 Lightning and will be putting a 4 month year old in it tomorrow. I do have the air bag in the steering wheel. Should I put the baby in the passenger seat or will he be fine in the center jump seat? It is the air bag that I am concerned about.

The farther away from the air bag that you can place the baby the better off he is. You may check with a dealer or repair person to see how far the airbag deploys from the steering wheel during an accident. It may be safe to put him in the middle. In either case just make sure that it is a rear facing child seat. Hope that you find out the correct answer. You may even check with your insurance agent, they may know the answer. I think the passenger side too, because of the spacing. Here's why - Where is your right arm going to go if something really bad happens? I'm more comfortable with the amount of side protection offered by Ford's F150 than with my control over my own body. Wish *nobody* ever had to find out... Best,
